Welcome to the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics 180 Degrees branch.

The Lisbon branch of 180 Degrees Consulting was created in the beginning of 2016. We want to bring top university talent to non-profit organizations, transforming good organizations into great ones via high-quality and uniquely affordable consulting services. Through the recruitment of students with different backgrounds, nationalities and study paths we aim at creating teams that are tailored for our projects.

After our first season, we were rewarded with one of the Best New Branch Award for Europe/Middle-East/Africa in 2016, recognizing the effort the executive team and the consultants put in the first round of projects being successfully completed.

For the future it is our hope to keep achieving new goals as we grow as well as broaden our horizon, always delivering high quality services to our partner organizations.

Consultant / Team Leader

As a 180 Degrees consultant, you will receive tailored training from professional consultants and field experts through several workshops. Based on your competencies, you will be assigned to a project together with other 180 Degrees consultants. In collaboration with the client and with the support of a team leader, you can apply your skills to find solutions for your clients’ challenges. Once the project is finished, you share the positive impact you created with your client! Once you apply as a Team Leader, you are automatically considered for the Consultant Position.

Marketing Assistant

As a Marketing Assistant you will have the chance to work alongside the Brand Director and PR & Events Director on the creation and promotion of marketing material and campaigns, events, newsletters and monitor the social media channels. We are looking for people with a creative mind who are able to step up our game and reach organizations and other stakeholders as effectively as possible.

Applications are open from 24th January until the 8th of February (12h00)!

Our selection process consists of three steps. In a first phase, we ask you to fill in an online application form and your CV. Through this online form, you can tell us about your motivations, skills and achievements that you can bring to our organisation. The form will be available on our branch page. In the second phase, you will be invited to meet the leadership team and do a test that assesses your teamwork capabilities through a group dynamics. The third phase consists of a personal interview where your motivations, skills and fit will be evaluated by the leadership team. We use predefined, objective and transparent criteria to evaluate your application throughout all of these phases.

Re.coopera

Area: Marketing
Year: 2016

Re.coopera is a non-profit organisation that helps people in situations of social exclusion and unemployment by providing workshops and training on furniture restoration and joinery
techniques. The team of consultants worked on a project that had as its main goal to develop a marketing and communications strategy in order to increase awareness and sales.

At the end of the project, a set of relevant and actionable recommendations was delivered to the client.
Laboratório de Investimento Social

Area: Marketing
Year: 2016

The team of consultants did a project at Laboratório de Investimento Social, a social investment lab that is focused on disseminating international best practices and innovative financial mechanisms and assessing their application to the Portuguese market. A communication plan was developed in order to address investors efficiently.

WACT

Area: Strategy
Year: 2016

WACT is a non-profit organisation that helps future Change-makers to
develop competencies in the fields of entrepreneurship and social responsibility. The team of consultants worked on
a project that had as its main goal to conduct research on organisational strategy improvements in order to assist the
imminent management turnover.

At the end of the project, a set of relevant and actionable recommendations was delivered to the client.
PE Probe

Area: Strategy
Year: 2016

PE Probe is a non-profit organisation that provides information on the Portuguese economy, online and for free, in order to counter the misinformation spread. The team of consultants
worked on a project that had as its main goal to conduct a root-cause analysis on the lack of visitors to the newly launched Chinese version of the website and suggest solutions to overcome the main issue.
The root-cause analysis was conducted in cooperation with the Taiwan branch of 180 Degrees Consulting.

Refugees Welcome

Area: Finance
Year: 2016

Refugees Welcome is a non-profit organisation that helps with the accelerated integration of refugees in Portugal by connecting them with Portuguese landlords. The team of consultants worked on a project that had as its main goal to explore the road to financial sustainability.

At the end of the project, a
set of relevant and actionable recommendations was delivered to the client.
Make A Wish

Area: Marketing
Year: 2016

Make-A- Wish Portugal is a affiliate of the internationally active Make-A-Wish Foundation that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The team of consultants
worked on a project that had as its main goal to give recommendations for the marketing and fundraising activities in
order to increase the level of individual donations and strengthen the bond with donors.

At the end of the project, a set of relevant and actionable recommendations was delivered to the client.
Sapana

Area: Marketing
Year: 2016

The consulting team worked on a project that consisted of the reintroduction in the market of a product developed by one of SAPANA’s most successful projects: Breaking Bars. The team assessed the market and benchmarked potential competitor’s products to understand how to place the client’s product and designed a whole new marketing strategy.

At the end of the project, a set of recommendations was made to successfully reintroduce and position the product in the market with a fresh, updated look
WACT

Area: Finance and General Management
Year: 2016

A team of three consultants worked on a project that had as main goal to conduct research on managerial improvements as well as exploring options for reaching financial sustainability.

The external positioning of our consultants lead to new insights, which were bundled in a list of actionable recommendations
ACA

Area: Finance and Strategy
Year: 2017

ACA's mission is to give life to innovative projects that arise from the conversation with people in situations of loneliness and exclusion.

A team of four consultants worked on a fundraising and retention strategy to acquire 500 associates.
PPL

Area: Marketing
Year: 2017

PPL is the reward-based crowdfunding platform of reference in Portugal. The organization’s objective is to allow a huge potential of ideas to become reality, by helping project owners in their hard fund raising process. PPL connects people (either social organizations or private persons) with supporters, and therefore helps campaign owners to find donators for the realization of their project.

The consultants developed a marketing strategy for PPL Crowdfunding to tackle the
stagnation of projects demanded by social enterprises.
Just a Change

Area: Strategy
Year: 2017

Just a Change helps socially disadvantaged people by renovating their homes, in order to create a solid basis to improve their lifes sustainably and additionally supports them in other challenges e.g. finding a job, in the time after the renovation has taken place. Just a Change builds its great social impact on the tremendous passion of its local and international volunteers.

The consultants’ project objective was to create a strategy, to increase funds through attracting additional fee paying international volunteers.
