Welcome to the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics 180 Degrees Consulting branch.

The Lisbon branch of 180 Degrees Consulting was created at the beginning of 2016. With the aim to bring top university talent to non-profit organizations, transforming good organizations into great ones via high-quality and uniquely affordable consulting services. Through the recruitment of students from different backgrounds, nationalities and study paths we create teams that are tailored for our projects.

After our first season, we were rewarded with the Best New Branch Award for Europe/Middle-East/Africa in 2016, recognizing the effort the executive team and the consultants put in the first round of projects successfully completed.

Since 2016, we have successfully completed 23 projects. For the future it is our hope to keep achieving new goals as we grow, as well as broaden our horizon, always delivering high-quality services to our partner organizations.

Applications are open from 4th of February until the 14th of February!

Our selection process consists of three steps. In a first phase, we ask you to fill in an online application form and submit your CV. Through this online form, you can tell us about your motivations, skills, and achievements that you can bring to our organization. The form will be available on our branch page. In the second phase, you will be invited to meet the leadership team and do a test that assesses your teamwork capabilities through group dynamics. The third phase consists of a personal interview where your motivations, skills, and fit will be evaluated by the leadership team.  We use predefined, objective and transparent criteria to evaluate your application throughout all of these phases.

  • PE Probe

    Area: Strategy
    Year: 2016

    PE Probe is a non-profit organisation that provides information on the Portuguese economy, online and for free, in order to counter the misinformation spread. The team of consultants
    worked on a project that had as its main goal to conduct a root-cause analysis on the lack of visitors to the newly launched Chinese version of the website and suggest solutions to overcome the main issue.
    The root-cause analysis was conducted in cooperation with the Taiwan branch of 180 Degrees Consulting.

  • Make A Wish

    Area: Marketing
    Year: 2016

    Make-A- Wish Portugal is a affiliate of the internationally active Make-A-Wish Foundation that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The team of consultants
    worked on a project that had as its main goal to give recommendations for the marketing and fundraising activities in
    order to increase the level of individual donations and strengthen the bond with donors.

    At the end of the project, a set of relevant and actionable recommendations was delivered to the client.

  • Sapana

    Area: Marketing
    Year: 2016

    The consulting team worked on a project that consisted of the reintroduction in the market of a product developed by one of SAPANA’s most successful projects: Breaking Bars. The team assessed the market and benchmarked potential competitor’s products to understand how to place the client’s product and designed a whole new marketing strategy.

    At the end of the project, a set of recommendations was made to successfully reintroduce and position the product in the market with a fresh, updated look.

  • PPL

    Area: Marketing
    Year: 2017

    PPL is the reward-based crowdfunding platform of reference in Portugal. The organization’s objective is to allow a huge potential of ideas to become reality, by helping project owners in their hard fund raising process. PPL connects people (either social organizations or private persons) with supporters, and therefore helps campaign owners to find donators for the realization of their project.

    The consultants developed a marketing strategy for PPL Crowdfunding to tackle the
    stagnation of projects demanded by social enterprises.

  • Just a Change

    Area: Strategy
    Year: 2017

    Just a Change helps socially disadvantaged people by renovating their homes, in order to create a solid basis to improve their lifes sustainably and additionally supports them in other challenges e.g. finding a job, in the time after the renovation has taken place. Just a Change builds its great social impact on the tremendous passion of its local and international volunteers.

    The consultants’ project objective was to create a strategy, to increase funds through attracting additional fee paying international volunteers.

  • Sonha, Faz e Acontece

    Area: Strategy
    Year: 2018

    “Sonha, Faz e Acontece” is a Portuguese NGO aiming to contribute to education and sustainable development, mainly in Portuguese speaking African countries. They currently work on two projects throughout the year, one in Príncipe and one in Portugal. In Príncipe, their summer program consists of education in several areas as well as promotion of social entrepreneurship and sustainable development. In Portugal, SFA helps guides youth from Portuguese speaking African countries who come to Portugal to study. In the future, they plan on starting a project in Cabo Verde as well.

    Working closely with SFA, 180 Degrees Consulting delivered a full, formal partnership process to help SFA identify potential partners as well as start and maintain fruitful partnerships.

  • Vitamimos

    Area: Business Development
    Year: 2018

    Vitamins Mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle and nutrition in order to prevent obesity among children.

    Due to Vitamimos strong growth and acceptance in Portugal, the organisation aim was to understand the opportunity to expand to other countries in Europe. Therefore, 180 Degrees Consulting provided Vitamimos with an assessment of the market in specific European countries and developed a suitable market entry strategy.
